| Braden and I just got back from a week in Virginia. We went to check out my sister's big belly. My amazing nephew is due in 5 weeks and I can't wait! It was so fun to see her all big and pregnant :o) Babies are such miracles. I don't know how anyone could be pregnant or know someone who is pregnant and not believe in God. Wow. So yeah...it was really great to be able to spend time with my family and catch up with friends. Good times. I am eagerly awaiting an invention that lets us "beam" ourselves places like in Star Trek. Braden did an amazing job of travelling, but it would be so nice to just instantly be there. We got back last night and it is so good to be home. More and more California is seeming like home to me. Plus, I just want to be where Nathan is :o) School starts on Tuesday. I am excited to be getting closer to graduation, but I am kind of tired of school. I guess that is to be expected. This semester is pediatrics and mental health. Interesting combination. I think I am going to go hang out with my hubby..... | | |
| Some exciting stuff is going on in Turlock, California. Braden is potty trained!!!! Yes, ladies and gentlemen, you heard that right: POTTY TRAINED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! He has been wearing underwear for a week now, with only 2 accidents. One was while he was playing baseball, so really, who can blame him? Would you stop playing baseball (with your oh so athletic mommy) to go pee? I don't think so! With the other accident, he stopped himself and finished peeing in the potty, so I am not sure that I am even going to count that. Maybe it's one and half accidents. So we are excited. I am sure there is still some learning to do, but it looks like the hardest part is over. Okay, that's the only really exciting thing that has happened..... Hope everyone is doing well!!!! | | |
| Alright, I do not get a prize for being good at keeping this updated. Oh well. I suppose there are more important things in life..... School is back in session, so that is good. I think.... It is always a bit hard getting used to reading and writing papers and sitting still for long periods of time. But I love it and will most likely be in school off and on for the rest of my life. We are doing reproductive health this semester and I can't wait! How cool is it that we get to watch babies being born. Wow! It is also nice to not start this semester terrified of going to the hospital. I worked a bit on the Medical floor at the hospital here, so I feel a million times more confident and comfortable. Good stuff. Today is the first day of nice cooler weather. It's only supposed to be 73. Nice :o) Braden is having a great day because he got some Thomas the Tank Engine slippers. Fun, fun. He changed so much over the summer. He talks ALL the time and is dances every time he hears music. He loves horses, trains, trucks of any kind and the Oakland Athletics. It is really neat to watch him developing his personality and interests and to see him become this little independent person. What a blessing. We are really getting settled into our new home after the fire. It is amazing to see how God has met all of our needs and many of our wants. He has taken care of us and we are humbled and blown away by His faithfulness and the kindness of our friends and family. Our lives will never be the same, for we now know the Lord in a deeper way, but we have been blessed to find that He has protected our hearts and kept fear from taking us over. Well, I guess I am going to take advantage of nap time and get to work on my homework. | | |
| Well, I guess I should update this thing since it's been about two months. So, a whole lot has happened. I guess the biggest thing is that our house burned down. Fun stuff. I suppose I don't really need to put that on here though because the only people who read this are people who know that anyways.
So, yeah, I am in Virginia visiting my family and it is great. I miss Nathan, but he is coming out to us on Friday night. He will be able to be here in time for Jaime and Wick's wedding.
Braden is still so much fun and still getting bigger by the minute. I guess I should get going. Why waste time typing when I can be visiting with my family?????
| Today I: made waffles for my baby. went to target. fed the ducks and watched a man mow the lawn at the college with Braden. made lunch. ate lunch with my honey. put my baby down for a nap. planted flowers. made dinner.
Wow. I love spring break. I have done all of these things today and it is only 1:30. When Braden wakes up we are going to go to the pool. He LOVES it. Then I think we are going to try to go for a bike ride after dinner. It has rained so much this spring and it is so nice to have a sunny day and be able to get outside. I love it :o)
